The Second Law: Robots must obey the orders given by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. If a human gives a robot an order which could potentially harm a human, the robot must not follow it.
The Third Law: Robots must protect their own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws. This law allows for robots to defend themselves, but again, only in a manner that doesn’t conflict with the safety and well-being of humans. This law also acknowledges the importance of preserving the continued operation of robots, as long as doing so does not violate the first two laws.
Things Get More Complicated
